Welcome to Afrisam the leading black-controlled construction materials group in Southern Africa. Founded in 1934, we are one of the most widely spread cement groups in the Southern African region, with operations in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. We employ nearly 2 000 staff members and almost 1 000 contractors. We have an annual cement production capacity of 4.6 million tons, which is produced from our 6 production facilities and distributed to our customers through our 9 strategically-located cement depots. Our readymix operation can produce almost any concrete mix required by customers from any one of our 40 readymix concrete plants across the region. We have the capacity to produce in excess of ten milllion tons of aggregate from our 16 quarries and aggregate operations every year. Our Slagment business unit, located in Vanderbijlpark has produced slagment over the last 50 years for the construction of major structures, including building, dams, bridges,roads and water retaining structures.
